Senior and Special Needs Pups
Our commitment to every pup does not waiver when they have special needs. Some of our fluffs have been diagnosed with conditions that significantly reduce the likelihood of traditional adoption while others are terminal. We have amazing volunteers who are committed to fostering these special needs rescue pups until the end. Please consider becoming a sponsor for one or more of these pups. Your monthly donation may cover the cost of one office visit, a vital prescription, or a host of other special needs.

Meet Candie
Candie is a senior bichon mix. She is moderately active but gets very excited when she sees the leash come off the wall. Candie has an auto-immune disease that presents as severe skin allergies, which we have treated since 2017. Her immune system is totally compromised. Candie lives with wonderful fosters who are dedicated to giving her medicated baths every other day to keep her symptom-free and comfortable. This presents a challenge to most adopters but Candie is the sweetest, most loving girl you will ever meet, and she repays you with all the love and kisses. Will you consider helping Candie with a monthly gift?

Sweet Sofia
This is our Sweet Sofia. Her personality is as big as her beautiful name. She’s a petite little girl, about 5 years old. She is precious, fun, and full of spirit. Sofia is considered a special needs pup because she took a fall before becoming a BROC BABE and the doctors said she would NEVER walk again due to a spinal cord rupture. But her foster mom says she has the will to get wherever she wants, nothing holds her back.
BROC bought some custom wheels for Sofia and you should see her run. She’s like a horse in its chariot. She is truly adorable.

Teddy
Teddy is a beautiful senior bichon. He suffered some trauma at some point in his life so he is not instantly trusting. It takes a little more time to accept other people but he is learning to trust. He has been with BROC for quite some time. His foster knows him well and recognizes his fear as well as his calm curiosity. Because Teddy has very specific needs and will need a very special adopter, it’s likely he will remain with BROC for quite some time. We are committed to giving him the best quality of life we can until we find him his forever home. Will you please help us care for Teddy while he waits for his special forever home?
