We specialize in rehoming bichons and other small hypoallergenic mixed breeds who can no longer be cared for by their family. We also rescue senior bichons and those needing special veterinary care from local animal shelters.  All our pups are cared for and housed with foster families throughout Orange County.  All our volunteers’ efforts are directed toward providing our pups a loving and safe environment, quality veterinary care and nutritional support, and the very best forever family possible.

Meet The Pups

When they become a BROC Babe, it’s the beginning of the best days of their lives.

Michele Olivier – BROC Founder

Rehoming Your Pet Can Be a Difficult Decision

We believe that rescue is best when unforeseen circumstances make it necessary to rehome a pet. Shelters serve their purpose, but when a family pet who has known love and comfort is suddenly living in a shelter environment, it can be terrifying.  At Bichon Rescue of Orange County, all our pups live in loving foster homes, not in cages. Our fosters work with their pups on any behavioral problems or special needs, and they get to know their personalities so they can be rehomed with the perfect adopter.

We know that having to rehome a pet can be heartbreaking. But if you find yourself in this predicament and are not able to find a friend or family member who can take your pup, please consider a rescue. We believe that dogs need homes, not cages, and we do our best for every pup that is lucky enough to take the title, “BROC Babe”.

Our little puppy Leo is as precious as he can be. Our little puppy Leo is as precious as he can be. He's just under a year old, and as you can see, he's absolutely adorable.

When he's ready, we'll find him the very best home we can. First, however, we need to ensure we have a complete and clear picture of his health and behavior before we can find the best adopter for him.

Leo came to us from a shelter. The folks at the shelter said he exhibits several neurological deficits. His little head appears to bob and weave intermittently, and he has a little issue with his back legs.

Leo needs a neurological consult, an MRI, and possibly further testing to determine if there is a problem so we can prepare for his forever family.

Will you help with the costs of Leo's consultation and evaluation? We are so eager to find his forever home, so the sooner we can get this done, the sooner Leo can get on with the business of living his best life.

Happy Adoptions

We strive to make a perfect match for every pup and adopter. Here are some kind words from happy adopters and their BROC Babes.

“I found my little boy through them [BROC]. He was two years old when I adopted him. After a year of intense training, we became Pet Partners visiting schools & nursing homes. My boy is The most loving sweetest dog I’ve ever had!

I am ready to find a little girl to love again, after losing one just recently. We need to be a complete family.”

Liz G

“I am so grateful for Mitzi! She is the bestest, most beautiful, most loving doggie ever! …We just celebrated her Gotcha! Day on Dec 14th. She is the best decision I’ve ever made. I wake up laughing every day because of her Morning Attacks of Love and then spend all day laughing at her cuteness and snuggliness.”

Thank you and God bless all of you.”
